I'm getting ready to experiment w/ a convex grind, but I was wondering how you maintain the edge in the field when it needs a touch up.
Pretty easy - I use an Altoids tin (below the knife) with 2 strips of leather glued to each side (black and green compound) and some sand paper for rolls and chips. Nice, small, compact and easy to use. The sand paper can be clamped in the lid and used that way, but most of the time I just use the leather to strop.
