Hindsight is 20/20, Peter. I could have bought the Sako with just one 17 HMR or 17M2 barrel for the $1200 I have in the two rifles and one scope I bought. But like my redundancy in knives, I like having more guns. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Or I could have just settled with the Marlin and only been out $400. But since my previous CZs had been so accurate and nice, I wanted another CZ. Now I am checking into a match grade but standard profile barrel for my 77/22 All-Weather in 17M2. If they discontinue the caliber, which is unlikely, I can always put the .22LR barrel back on. The little Mach 2 far exceeds the long range (100m) accuracy of most .22s, and requires no hold over or under for shots out to that range. It's one thing to shoot a match and have your elevation knob marked for known ranges. It's quite another to get on a target fast at an estimated range, and adjust. Easier to aim dead on and fire. This hobby is as bad as golf!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
