Sorry to hear about your friend. My wife's sister died 7 years ago at 48 and she left an 11 year old son to be raised (if you can call him that)by a drunken dad. BUT, thank God he gave her a Fantastic spirit and for the last month of her life she was (at her request) in a nursing home where she died. ALL the workers there talked about how SHE mad them feel better. She had made her peace with God and he gave her this sunny outlook on life, he gave her happiness not self pity. My heart and prayers go out for your friend and her daughter and you as well. Try and stay strong for them and the remaining time she has will be the better for it.
