Oak will do it. Some other trees, too. Try using a pencil eraser and rub it in the same direction as the grind lines. Be careful, it's sharp!
I have the same problem with my DFLE turning colors from pine trees.
Horn Dog, I remember you mentioned something like wiping it down with paint thinner or alcohol to clean your blades? Can't remember exactly what it was.
