I know Mike Stewart refuses to make knives out of D2 although I'm not entirely sure why that is. I hear D2 is prone to chipping out and perhaps that's the reason. On the other hand, I've never heard anyone complain about the performance of their D2 Bog Dog and Bob Dozier ("Dr. D2") has built his entire reputation on that alloy. D2 is OK in a smaller blade like this IMO. I have been mixing my customs with 3 V ( which is purely heaven) and ATS just to broaden my collection. I am thinking around 99 bucks on these Bruce- but you might be right. Graet looking for kitchen or gifts is what I am thinking. They sure kinda look like a Dozier and you are right about no complaints. Doc D is also pricey as hell- but probably worth every penny. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
