The worst Res-C/steel gaps happened in the SS4. I fixed mine with clear 50 year silicone caulk. The clear caulk took on the black color of the Res-C, so you had to look close to notice the fill job. The silicone is still sealing the old handle gap to this day.

It’s a non-issue.
