One of the best things about a hammock is that it doesn't matter what the ground is like. Wet, rocky, uneven, roots... it's all the same when you're in the air.

My best piece of advice is that you should always have a mosquito net. Don't do ultralight and sleep in a suspended sheet. Get one with the net attached or where the net can be completely closed off. Add a tarp and you are set. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
