I know absolutely nada about the knife biz but if I was in Dan's shoes I would be looking to turn out a smaller blade that I could make quickly and inexpensively to "feed the Dogs" while I got the LE ready. There's definitely a market hole in the Busse family of knives for a smaller sub $100 product with sheath. I would want it to be differentiated from the Howler, the Game Warden, the upcoming Badger Attack, and the SS4.

Oddly enough, there's very few 5" knives. They seem to go 3", 4" and then 6" or so. The new Badger Attack is planned to be 5.5" but that's a substantially more expensive knife.
