Indiana's carry laws DO make it an attractive state for those so inclined, and I don't think the weather is too bad. Do you get much "lake effect" snow, or are you far enough away? All in all, I think you're in a pretty nice area. Tom
We don't get that much snow. We have friends that live in Detroit. Sometimes in the winter they'll call us and say they have several feet of snow, and we usually only have a few inches. Last year the most snow we had was like 6-8 inches. Some areas it will drift bad if the wind is blowing because so many empty fields with no windbreak, sometimes the roads will try to blow shut in the country. Not a problem in the city though.
My Dad has a couple duce-and-a-halfs, and he bought a huge V plow at a city auction. I keep telling him if he puts it on one of the 6x6s, we wouldn't have to worry about getting snowed in. He also had a jet engine. I said he should mount it in the back of the 6x6. That way if you DID get stuck, you could melt your way out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
