They both have their uses.

For the larger knives, the Res C fills the hand nicely for chopping. I love the fact that you don't feel as much vibration in the handle as you do with knives from other companies. My DFCG and S6 are well used for a little of everything, from chopping tree limbs up, to clearing hunting trails. I love them... period.

For jobs that require more finesse, the Mudder does the job. I personally love the mudder grips because they don't slip in your hand when it gets covered in blood and gore when filleting fish, or gutting a deer or any other animal. This is as true in the kitchen, where your hands can become very wet while chopping and preparing meals next to running water. My MPLE, BDLE, and especially my Muk, have become my prime blades for these jobs because of this.
