I am glad Dan was able to bring the S5LE in INFI. I know a LOT of people are VERY excited about it.

Personally, I LOVE the S5 design, but "Because" of the LE's price, I had/have to stick with my CG and stripped it myself.

I could not and can not afford or justify the LE.

Personally, I had hoped for around $150 - $160.

At almost twice the price, the CG offers a LOT more value and this is from a guy who does NOT like coated blades and tired of having to strip them.

Everybody's price/values perceptions are different. So, obviously some think the S5LE is a great deal. And compared to similar sized pieces of INFI with satin finishes, a fair arguement could be made that the S5LE "IS" a good deal.

But, again to each their own. I think Busse/INFI in satin is WAY over-priced (for me... ).

Although...., over the years, I have purchased a fair share of Busse INFI.
The SAR5 was a reasonable price/value.

I have owned many pieces of INFI over the years and still own about 7 Busse blades. I just bite the bullet HARD and buy because I just "want". But, I have had to sell most of what I have purchased because I couldn't justify "keeping". - Ultimately, I have had to be very selective.

In any event, supply and demand drive most businesses. If people are willing to pay more, demand is high and profits are good.

I am glad for Jerry, Dan and all those about to receive the S5LE in satin INFI.
... It is a GREAT knife.

I am just sorry I won't be enjoying the S5LE in my preferred satin INFI.

-------------

.... Just pointing out that "Some" people "MAY" have been willing to pay more.

But, I think it is fair to say that if the S5LE had been priced higher, there would have most likely been even LESS S5LE's sold.

Priced as it was, some sales "were" missed.

JYD #39 I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!
