I sure don't plan to do a lot of fighting with it. And the Bowie design was a do-everything knife, not just a fighter.
Plus, we're talking about a third of an inch of differentially hardened, full flat ground SR-101. It's practically a splitting wedge.
Who WOULDN'T want to baton with that???
