I was in a local surplus store yesterday and saw that sardine can survival
type kit. Thought it would be interesting, but didn't pick it up.
It would definitely save space and such, but you would need to have something
else to put it in once it had been opened.

I decided to make my own, and put one together in an old camera pouch that I
wasn't using. Not water proof, but I put everything into a waterproof plastic
bag and then put that into the pouch. Gives me the benefit of having the bag for
use as well
