So...I bought the Colt Anaconda last week and went over to my local gun store on Saturday for a box of ammo and I'll be danged if he didn't have not one but two Winchester model 1894s in the case. Just as we chase knives and have a grail knife, this was one of my grail guns...my Grandpa had one and it disappeared when he died. I just never bought one after that.

The one in the store that caught my eye had a very nice patina and the walnut was well aged. It turns out, the older looking one was from 1945 and the younger one was a 1980s version. The price difference was about $75.00.

I jumped on the 1945 rifle and fellas, it is sweet! Too bad my wife doesn't think it so sweet! It's a good thing she loves me and puts up with my addicitions to various forms of steel.

Now, if I could only find a box of shells...but hey, isn't that what got me on the hotseat?

Pictures to follow.

Inside each knife is a new adventure waiting to be had...maybe some blood and probably some suture.
