Vic, did you ever get a moderated ( silenced in US terms ) Ruger .22? The guy who does them is near you IIRC...

I really like them with Eley subsonics...no sound at all...very accurate out to sensible distances...say 15 yards...good triggers...puts Bunnies in the pot when living off the land...and as a "pro-active" weapon...silent and safe and effective...I am always happy if I can get one to use...helped me an awful lot...

I like the idea of the one above if it can be moderated and make no sonic "crack"...but long trigger pulls are not my personal choice...a 30 rnd mag though would make it pretty good...no worries about needing a spare...
