The nice thing about the CGs is that, with the possible exception of the DFLE and then only in certain tasks, the LEs won't outperform them. CGs also cost quite a bit less than LEs. To me, CG's more properly befit the Scrap Yard motto, "superior performance to price ratio". YMMV.
Agreed- but I do one heck of a bunch of outdoor activites and the LE just feels better in my hand. I skin and gut many elk and deer every year and how a knife " feels" is VERY important to me. Maybe this could be related to PERFORMANCE- maybe not.The extra $$$ for LE is well worth it to me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />.If guys are not pounding on their steel it probably doesn't matter much- but I beat the hell out of mine many days out of the year.
