I picked up an Endura trainer a few years ago for some edged weapon folder specific training I did for a course. After evaluating it and then taking more training I now make my trainers out of aluminum or wood in some cases. I just round off all of the edges and use that. The only real tough thing is the handle, duct tape works though. Aluminum is nice because my sheaths still function so I keep some consistency there.
