We do admire fine cutlery,it just has to stand up to hard use.Not that pretty stuff with inlayed handles. If the SHTF and I do mean if,it's best to be prepared.No gas for the chain saw.And carrying an axe is impractial due to weight.Having a knife that can do multiple tasks makes sense.So some chop down trees with theirs to get a sense of what the knife will handle.
