Actually I don't think micarta or G10 is that expensive at all. I am alawys a bit puzzed by the price differance <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. It is like why is INFI so expensive ? IMO it doesn't perform any better than 101-SR77-52100-ATS etc ? Whenever I have asked I always get the answer" just because it is "INFI" .Personaly-I don't buy much INFI bcause i just don't see the edge.I also can get a better edge on my 101 than I can my INFI- but maybe I am lousy at sharpening <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I think INFI is so expensive because it is a custom steel and made specially for Busse *alone*. I seem to have read somewhere it is sort of A8 with a nitrogen soak (that info may have come from Knife Forums). I know someone posted a mass spec' report on it somewhere...
