Res-C is virtually unsurpassed in its ability to absorb shock. But it's not aesthetically pleasing . . . at least not as far as I'm concerned. So the knives I tend to buy with Res-C handles are choppers and camp knives rather than utility knives and EDCs. I'd be willing to consider purchasing utility knives and EDCs with mudder grips, but only if they're well balanced. IMO, mudder-gripped knives in the well-balanced category include the SS4 and the MP (and undoubtedly the WD when it arrives), but not the S5.
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder... thats cool
I personally like the looks besides the performance aspect.
