Dan you mentioned the running without the keys---------my second trucks key tumbler messed up so I direct wired a toggle switch to the starter. Talk about hearing a starter grind if a leg hit that toggle (placed on the bottom of the pannel) LOL.
I had to do the same thing to the corola.
I used a screw driver several times when the keys could not be found...thank goodness I was never pulled over...try to explain that one..."Yea Sure Buddy, It's Designed That Way"
