A Basic 11 will definately be worth the price. As a collector's investment or as a "user" ...
Collector's are likely to double their money .... so buy two and sell one down the line and you have one for free ....
User's get a knife which will keep pace with a NMFBM and yet is lighter and if it comes with an ASM edge will be much easier to maintain in the field ....oh .... and it will be a lot cheaper than a NMFBM.
If you pitch a B11 against a CGDF on a "user" basis ... the B11 will have better edge retention and is likely to out chop it .... but possibly not by a lot ....
If you already have a CGDF and see no need for another large knife .... well done .... you have this knife "addiction" thing beaten and in fairness both will do whatever you need them to .... so you are right <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
