The shock was non-existent. The blade balance is too neutral to create any serious shock in the first place. Compared to my plastic-handled becker brute, the hidden tang respirene handle was very comfortable and absorbed whatever vibration may have been generated. I really like this knife, even though it took some reprofiling to put a decent edge on it.
