Nice scores!!! Btw the Reg is double cut, it seems two tone because it's differentially hardened, the steel is two different hardnesses. The bead blast really brings it out

Interesting info on the color of the Reg. I did not know that. What is the reasoning behind the different hardness levels?
I believe this is correct...
If the "body" of the blade is spring tempered, it will be much stronger than a very hard rockwell steel would be and it won't snap as easily when bent. The edge of the knife wouldn't hold a good edge though. So, the edge of the blade is hardened more to hold an edge better than the "body" of the blade would be able to.
