well Horndog, my only AO folders are from Kershaw.....I have a Bump, zdp189 Leek, and rainbow Chive..... fun to play with but I actually prefer manual for EDC folders (don't want a premature vasectomy from my Leek when carried IWB) ....
And that's the problem with assisted opening knives in a nutshell (so to speak <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ). They're inherently dangerous due to their design. The only way to safely carry an AOK in a pocket or IWB is to keep the safety engaged. But engaging the safety prevents the knife from being brought into play quickly if the need arises.
I could see the immediate danger maybe if you were carrying a double edged blade. As almost every AO knife is, a premature opening in the pocket isn't going to do a whole lot. Perhaps if you were to bend over, or thrust your hand in your pocket unknowingly. Also, this premature opening is going to be all but impossible unless the blade has an index opening feature to respond to some freak pressure.
If I can make it dark, I can make it light.
I am Crazy Dog.
