I heard it was over 900 lbs. I wounded a big one, probably over 300 lbs with a 30-30. Never did catch him. Solid hit to the area behind the shoulder at about 50 yds. Then I bought a .375 Big Bore '94. Never got a shot on one with that rifle or with my S&W 429. I killed a small one with a .308. Now I have a 1894 Win in .44 Magnum. Always shoot the big ones in the head!
