hey fellow dogs. just finished week 6 and on to week 7 next week!

this week was physically draining and painful! we started our defensive tactics and our physical training got bumped up a notch. i was doing really good with no injuries or sprains up until this week. now my whole body feels like it got hit by a bus.

this week coming up we start our tactical shooting! i was issued a glock 21 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> sorry i just dont really get along with glocks as you can see in my avatar picture, but i am super excited to finally get on the range!

the law enforcement community over here in california has experienced a tragedy this past week. Officer Ryan Bonaminio of Riverside Police Department was shot and killed in the line of duty last sunday. he was only 27. he graduated from the same academy that i am attending right now, Class of 165. my class will be attending his funeral this tuesday and will probably start a fundraiser for him and his family. a suspect was arrested for his murder a few nights ago.

he paid the ultimate sacrifice doing what he loved… protecting and serving his community. RIP Officer Bonaminio. please keep his family in prayers.
