Just joined the forums, and waiting for my first SY knife... haha
Could anyone tell me more about the knife coating, what type of coating they are?
Besides the basic black coating, the multicolor coating for Scrapivores look different, like the tanker gray, the glossy orange.. what are the material of these?
And generally speaking, are they safe to cut food?

The coatings barely come off when battoning the knives through gnarly knotted wood so I doubt they are likely to come off when prepping food ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
