Kydex:
Lightweight
Doesn't retain water
Leather:
Beautiful but
Retains water
Weighs more
For all practical intents and purposes, kydex is the way to go.
Any other pros or cons gentlemen?
Leather has a soul, where Kydex is just a sheath.
