Jeff Randall speaks highly of scrapyard knives (actually all Bussekin knives).
I do like my HEST and would not hesitate to put it to hard use.

I just haven't found a knife in the same price range as a yard knife that gives the same performance.
I wouldn't mind getting a swamprat knife, but for myself I don't see the need
