Hi guys, I was moving some boxes from the folks house and found an old tool box. I opened it up and found some of my " real " Ninja stuff!!

This cover is neat because this is where I found Michael Echanis, what a great martial artist and warrior. His books are still a good read today.

Remember the movies?

Then Ninja magazine came out, boy oh boy we were big league then!

I will admit I went through the phase, following Steven Hayes and waiting for the next issue of Black Belt special editions.

My dad was great, he would give in and drive me to the martial art store and let me buy one. When the movie the Octagon came out he took me to the shop and bought me my first pair of nunchucks, a black octagon set that when I went to show him my professiancy I proceeded to crease my forehead

Here are some of the shurikens, I had alot more but they are probably gone, lost, or still in the neighbors trees and fences

Do you remeber the small ones that had the hole for the necklace and had the yin yang, dragon, or the prized Bruce Lee picture on them? They were traded like baseball cards!

I guess old ninjas dont grow up they just hide their identity more. In the middle of the picture the large four point ones are the new Cold Steel Sure Strike. They come in three weights, light, medium, and you gueseed it, heavy.
I picked them up last year and they are a blast. I like all three weights and have not picked one that throws better yet. The heavy does some serious damage to the targets, still the neighbors fence

The new Cold Steel line

The pictures arent the greatest, my camera is on the fritz.

The last set of pics are the butterfly knives that came out then as well. I remeber the all brass handled ones you found at the shady stores around the schools. They were dull as a butter knife which in hind sight would make them a
butter fly knife.

In the middle of the pic is my first real butterfly knife. A Valor Ninja model. I bought it off a pal for around 25 dollars which was alot of money then. I carried that thing everywhere and used it on everything.

and what self respecting ninja didnt have a set of these?

dont do this while wearing them-

Sorry for the corny thread but trying to clean up a parents house is depressing enough so when you find some child hood memories it can make you act like a kid again, well at least like a ninja.
thanks for looking.

p.s. maybe Dan is waiting to bring out... infi throwing stars!
