I haven't heard anything about how it came about but I've got one that will be coming to me. I think it will be a really good larger midsize outdoors blade. It is around 7 1/4 in blade length, .330 or so thick and has that Rhino nose type tip. To me that reinforced tip will make it much better for digging, prying and such that we all do with our blade whether we admit or not without breaking off. And the blade shape is unique enough to make it a "Must have" for collectors as well. Personally I think Dan could sell a ton of these once the ones from blade have been out there for a while and reported on. When I get mine I plan in jabbing it into some wood, green and seasoned landscape timbers to see how it actually does in the tip usage aspect. I think it will come through quite well and will be a fair chopper in it's own right.
