Now something a little different
I know someone spoke of the importance of bringing along prescriptions in your BOB. This could be a real problem unless you happen to bug out right after getting a 3 month supply refilled.
A couple years ago when things were really tight (lost job, no insurance), I needed blood pressure meds and frankly couldn't see paying big $$$ to go to a new Dr., (I moved) run tests etc. just to get what I've been taking for years. My old Dr. would no longer write a prescription since he was officially no longer my Dr. due to the move.
I went on line and found an oversees company that produces my needed drug and was able to have them send me a 6 month supply w/o a prescription. Was this illegal?
Probably so, but I had proof the drug was prescribed to me in the not to distant past for years. BTW, the 6 month supply was cheaper then what I was paying when I had insurance!
For non narcotic prescriptions, you may want to keep a few month supply on hand just in case. Just be sure and rotate them into your supply to keep fresh.
