First, mods, if this is out of line, please remove my post. I realize this is not a political forum, but I came across this article which outraged my sensibilities more than a little bit.

I do not think this will create much of a divide in the yard, most people would likely agree with each other on this, but again, if it is out of line, please remove it.

Edit: let us please keep party politics out of this, both the previous and current administrations are to blame for the way DHS is able to infringe on the privacy of regular people all over the world (not just in the US).

Well I am a political science junkie. I talk about sex, religion, politics and current events at bars. I have a very tolerant view of these kinds of threads as long as all posters are respectful of one another and not deliberately antagonistic. I have my own views about DHS. I tend to be rather libertarian, so you can guess what they are. Let's treat each other as brothers in the yard, regardless of our differences, and see where this thread wanders off to.
