Adam - if you want a cartridge that is a bridge between the 22Mag and 223Rem then I suggest you look at the 22 Hornet.

218 Bee and 22 Hornet are great "intermediate" (short range) varmint rounds, but the 218B is virtually dead now. The 22H on the other hand is still around.
