Thanks for the heads up on the pic. I don't really notice any difference in the feel of the two blades, I agree the hump is the only difference. I do love them both and if you don't have SOD the 711 is a PERFECT replacement.
The grind is different too right? I also like that the finger choil seems to be a little closer to the handle.
Good observation! I would say the 7-11 is an improved SOD, but that's just me.
It has a convex grind. And let us not forget, SR101!! Some may consider this a worse option due to reduced toughness...but with the bussekin heat treats, I'm confident it will be nuclear tough enough for me!! And the added bonus of edge retention!!
