Oh... before somebody says lanyard or wrist strap, don't do it... I have hauled more than one crew man to the ER over that. Tether a blade to your hand, and get cut when it comes loose...
I agree with you there doc, although I HAVE done that before, luckily it's never came out of my hand, although it almost did once. I Don't do the lanyard around the hand thing any more unless it's over water or a long drop.
