Mike, I think that would be to close to the SOD's specs for Dan to put one out like that, here's why I said that.

(SY) SODCG (SR-77)......... = 15.7 ounces; .264" thick; 7.5” blade; 12.5” oal

(SY) SODLE (SR-77)…………. = 13.85 ounces; .25” thick; 7.5” blade; 12.5” oal

That being said, Since we have the DF, SOD, 711 I personally would like to see the 911 like this.

9 1/2 inch blade, 3/16 inch thick (.200 thick would be OK too). Blade height NO MORE THAN 1 3/4 inches with a full flat grind or a 1/2 inch flat at the top with only one grind from the flat to the edge. Yes this would require a satin finish at least on the grind. BUT a secondary bevel wouldn't be bad as we all know as in the normal way Dan grinds his blades.

Just my 2 cents worth, and as we all know Dan can't make a living for himself and all his folks on just 2 cents.

However you make it Dan, We WILL buy it!
