Will I get this? Probably not. I considered it, but to me an aluminum bull barrel is self defeating. I use my pistol for target shooting when I don't want to sell a kidney to keep my 45 fed and rabbit hunting when I want to be able to get a quick second shot should I miss the bunny - not that I ever miss

This gun would not feel as much like a 45 since it is so light and that lightness will also make recoil increase helping the bunny get away if someone misses the first shot like I never do.

That said and without ever actually handling this weapon, if you are looking for a super light survival pistol or just a fun plinker, I am betting this will be the best bang for your buck.

JJ - a few thoughts.

Don't forget the Aluminum uppers from TacSol are sleeved. You maintain rigidity without sacrificing weight...great for a pack-pistol. I know nothing about the new LITE model from Ruger though...so not sure about those.

You're thinking about the weight all wrong. Once you add a suppressor, you're back up to your regular weight <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I am curious of the barrel manufacture for the new Ruger LITE. They will DEFINITELY take a bite out of TacSol with this.
