The gravel access road from the highway to the range has a steel bridge that goes over a creek (probably Knob Creek, but that may be farther back on the property; I never paid attention to the signage when I was bumper-to-bumper and anxious to get parked), and their story was that the bridge had "washed out". I recall seeing a post over on bladeforums saying they'd had heavy logging equipment using the road, which damaged the bridge but the http://www.knobcreekrange.com/ home page simply says, "Too many floods, not enough bridge." I passed right by the exit to the range on my way to the Golden Manor, but didn't stop to look.
