I know the feeling. If it had not been for a great sheath maker sending me one I would not have a carrying apparatus as you say. I need to find me a gym bag strap or make one out of paracord, rig a sheath to hold an Altoids pack can, and a pouch for a multi-tool. I can't foresee any situation the 1311 and a multi-tool can't do!
