No way. Just the 1311 and a smaller blade. Any good machete will take an edge sharp enough for banana leaves, timari, softwood, etc. You swing slightly off the vertical and can clear miles of trail with it. Try to cut down a tree or take of larger limbs and you will be chopping all day.

I always carry a large folder but plan to switch to the 411 when mine gets here.

It sounds like you're going with 1311 + machete. That is an interesting surprise. Maybe I'll end up with 1311 + kukri + machete
