I was fortunate enough that the place Dad worked at at first provided a 3/4 ton pickup with a slide in camper for his employees to use on vacation. Spent a lot of time out Touring the sights, Yellowstond, Grand Teatons, Glacier park. Plus We also was Washington D.C. and down the coast to florida.

I remember one year we were in Yellowstone and there was a Momma bear and her two cubs just outside the campground on the other side of the road (this would have been in the early/mid 60's). Any way, Dad and I were on one side of the road and dad was using the 8mm movie camera and finally said man looks like they are getting close. He looked up, they were about 15-20 feet away and I was one the other side of another road just behind him!
