I'm not real sure if I've asked this before, but here goes.

I have a Tactical Taylor 3 day assault pack that will hold a lot of stuff If I want it to. Feels really good and is my first "Quality" pack. BUT I think it is larger than I (Hopefully WE) need for just a morning or afternoon hike around Mingo or where ever. But if you think it would work out OK for the use(s) below let me know. Oh and I guess I should add I am 6ft tall, wear a 2X shirt. Nuff said.

What pack would you guys recommend for just a few hour, maybe half a day hiking pack to carry water, some food and maybe a stove of some kind and windbreakers/rain gear. I would have Patty carrying the Fatboy FAK I have made up.

I looked at the pigmy falcon II and it has a bladder storage (good for me) and dual 1 1iter water bottle carriers for Patty. Do you all think that pack would be to small? Should I be looking at something else (maybe bigger)? And it doesn't have to be "Bullet Proof" as it wouldn't be used in any "Rough" environments. I DO wish it had straps on the bottom so I could attach a Butt bag I got from Arch.

Oh and YES, probably unfortunately, I'm Cheap.

I'm just looking for something to toss in the truck and load up with water and food maybe if we think we may go on a walk.
