My pet hate in the world...LOL

OK... no experience with the Benelli but over 30 years with the 870. If your heart is set on an auto no problem but why not get an old 870 (they are really common used from my experience in the US (cosmetic issues are no problem) ) and have it fitted with GR sights and a refinish (if required). All manner of stocks and accessories are available to make it work for you.

I bought my first 870 in 1983 (I was 14 at the time) and have carried them at work for the past 20 years. I have experience with training guns that were first put into service in the early 70s and have been beaten on ever since. The ugliest was recently given a face lift as a project, new springs all round (no needed but done), updated shell lifter, new stock work (had original timber that was painted black and still functional) and cerakoted. At the end it was the best looking and smoothest running gun in a rack of 30...!!!
