Andy,
I'd like to see a pic of that sheath. You are very creative, in that regard. I have been impressed by some of the stuff you have shown over at the swamp.

Thanks. Sorry, I didn’t forget, I’ve just been busy recently. Here’s some pics I just took for you. The grey one is the 1st one I made. The middle one is the second one, and the newest looking one is the new one. I made it from that couragated plastic cardboard-like material. I found some telephone pole SPAM in the form of an advertisement someone attached to ugly up my senic country road. So I ripped it off. I was going to throw it away, but then realized I could salvage it to make sheaths from. From SPAM to sheaths. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The newest one is much thicker than the older ones, but it is much stronger too. To re-enforce the end to keep the tip from penetrating in the pocket and causing injury, I took the lid off a tin can and cut it to shape and wrapped it around the end and then taped over it. After I cut it to shape, I “sanded” the sharp edge where I’d cut it out on the cement floor to keep it from cutting at the tape. This sheath should be pretty weatherproof. It’s all encased in plastic.
