Hello everyone, im a bit new to the whole Busse/SRKW/SYKW scene and cannot find where to buy the new knives such as the yard hook. Can anyone tell me when or where i can find where to order these from? Thanks and please excuse my ignorance.

Welcome to the Yard! All knives of this family are made per period and sell very quick. So you have a chance at the three homepages when they are made. If you´re fast enough. What you see is what you get .
Another chance is the exchange subforum on bladeforums(dot)com.
Last and in my opinion worst chance is to behave like a fisherman in the bay. Watch the prices! Secondary market isn´t the cheapest way!
Hope this helps!

I'm in the same boat trying to get my first scrap, and can you take a down payment?

These knives are great from what I've read. But like all good things they're hard to come by.

these knives aren't that expensive so there's no deposit/downpayment/financing deals. you buy em when they're available, first come, first served.

At least you guys have good attitudes about it! Some guys come here all pissed off cuz they can't get one right away!

Dan will usually announce the new model a week before release. Then he'll give a 48 and 24 hour notice. When he gives the "go" on the forum, you just jump over to the order page and place your order, and then we all get on the forum to see who was the fastest

Make sure to set up your account information and all of that prior to the release, or you'll waste a couple of minutes there.

Welcome to the Yard MDM!

As others have said, SYKCO blades don't hang around long. Your best bet is to stick around, enjoy the atmosphere here and try to be patient. Dumpster Dan (Dan Busse) is great at keeping us informed to what is going on with knife availability. He will give a heads up when something is coming down the pipe and a good timeframe to check the site.

Dan sells products that are ready to ship and doesn't sell in advance. Personally I like this better as you have a more accurate delivery timeline instead of waiting "two weeks" for your card to be billed and a blade to ship!

Oh, forgot to mention that if you absolutely can't wait, there are a number for sale over on blade forum, however they are well marked up. The knives are still a deal though!

If you can wait, hang around and support Dan when he is selling direct! You end up with a better deal as well!
