Cliff also does some retard things to knives that 99% will never do. And given enough abuse ANY knife will break, so from what I have seen of them and what I have handled, I would carry one and trust it just like the other knives I carry. I except them to do their job. Scrap Yard,Ranger, Busse, Swamp Rat, and a few custom makers David Wesner and Nick Allen...all blades I wouldn't think 2x about grabbing a worst case scenario.

I wouldn't grab my HI though....not to sound like I am putting down on them, but I prefer synthetic handles. I have one HI (a Bolo) and the wooden handle started splitting after about 30 minutes....I have epoxed it, but still don't feel comfortable really using it. Now if they put a full tang and some micarta or Res-C....it would be back in the game.

Fehrman knives sound great (I like the Peace Maker). Sounds like he did a good job on the heat treat. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

[color:"green"]Hmmmmm, my knife wish list. Ok, you asked for it:
A Kevin Wilkins' Ghost Dog Pup, with S90V blade, and green G-11.
A Mike Obenauf small # 1, with blue G-10 and titanium bolster.
A Tom Mayo small TNT, with either a Talonite or Stellite blade, and titanium hardware.
A Jim Burke Mini Res, his new version, with blue G-10.
A Matt Cucchiara Escapade with the Octopus carving. (I have wanted THAT one long before it graced the cover of Blade magazine!)
I DO want more Matt Cucchiara knives; I have 1.
More of Rick Hinderer's knives.
A Jens Anso Rebel.
There are a few Fehrman's that I want.
I want some Scrap Yard knives!!

So many knives...........

I have 2 lists ,a real one and a 'if I win the lottery" list.
The real one is
Double cut black tie Warden
Buck Hartsook
Byrd flight G10
Fallkniven (probably an H1 laminated)
Spyderco Endura 4 ZDP/G10
A production wakizashi with a custom wrap and fittings to match the katana I have on it's way here.
Rosseli UHC, ultra high carbon. The blades rockwell at about 64 or 65

My wish list

SF commando dagger and a Hitler youth knife in a display with some WW2 pictures.

That is a great picture of Uncle Joe, "Best friend of little children". He did so much for the children. So what if he murdered millions? I just love the ice cream man suit and the flowers. Good democrat.

So many good posts on this thread and no-one lowered the tone by saying a big INFI knife with a res-C handle..

Ha! There goes the neighbourhood!

(One day I'll find a basic 9 I can afford- from someone who'll ship overseas, then I'll get a proper edge profile put on it!.. It's good to have dreams in life)
