Hi Tom. So do we! I really love home grown tomatoes.

So do I!!! We didn't have a garden last year, but two years ago we had OUTSTANDING green beans, tomatoes, green peppers, and Athena canteloupe. In fact, the Athenas were probably the best we have ever eaten! We have a garden 30' X 75' with a good variety of vegetables. We're really looking forward to harvest time!

When I work in the garden, the smell of the tomato plants instantly transports me back to my younger days. My grandfather owned two adjoining lots. One had his house on it and the other was his garden.

The garden was the entire lot plus half of the back yard of the other lot. It was my job to till the soil in the spring (by hand) and in the summer, pick off the tomato worms and do the weeding. He liked to water the garden because he could sit in a chair and spend half the day there.

I loved to go out early in the day with a salt shaker and have a few tomatoes right off the vine for breakfast.

Ray, you would've liked the cat we had when I was a kid. He was a Manx that stayed outside and he loved to eat tomato worms.

Lol. I could have used a couple of them!
