So what do we know about the proprietary heat treat to make SR-77?
Is it something like Austenite to a very soft Pearlite then put into tempering heats and given a Cryo-Martensite?
Just curious

We know little beyond speculation on the forum member's part. Dan has already stated that he won't be talking.

I think he uses this: And for blade strength and toughness Dan sat down with the Dwarfs and....well after a few bottles of blue label they gave him the secret for the fetter Gleipnir. the sound of a cat's footfall and the woman's beard and the mountain's roots and the bear's sinews and the fish's breath and bird's spittle.

Is transversion wave tempering the same as transverse wave tempering?
If so, An example of Transverse Waves is Electromagnetic Waves and a strong source of those are microwaves... maybe they use microwaves somehow in the heat treat process? Is that even possible? just guessin'
